Ornamental Plant Mutations Caused by the Hormone Strepson

by
Ornamental Plant Mutations Caused by the Hormone Strepson

The hormone strepson affects the growth of plants and can cause mutations in the shape and color of the plant.

The mutations that occur cannot usually be influenced. Although individual leaves of the plant can be stimulated to mutate through injections, the result is always open. As a rule, you simply add the preparation to the irrigation water. Pre-treatments using small needle pricks in the lower stem area when applied with a spray bottle accelerate mutation development. See video at the end of the article.

The product is available in Indonesia, in liquid and powder form (for mixing yourself) at Tokopedia, Bukalapak and Shopee. Unfortunately, only express shipping is currently possible from Indonesia, as air traffic (especially for passenger planes) is severely restricted due to the corona pandemic.

How does the hormone strepsone affect ornamental plants?

Unfortunately, you have no direct influence on the mutation. So it’s pure coincidence what happened. But that’s exactly what’s so interesting about this product. Of course, the mutation can also be propagated through offshoots. In most cases there are color changes in the leaves and flowers. In some plants such as B. Orchids can create color combinations that do not naturally exist using this agent. Large-leaved plants can produce a green/white color with red accents. Here are a few examples:

Plant 2
Plant 3

Plant 5

You can find further mutations by searching Google on the Internet

Express Shipping Only Until January 2021

    by
Bis Januar 2021 nur Express-Shipping from Indonesia möglich

Corona is restricting air traffic all over the world. But this also means that postal delivery is affected.

Indonesia has been in lockdown since March 15, 2020. A relief in August was withdrawn by the Indonesian government. The new plan is now to start the gradual opening of Indonesia in January 2021. Until this point, shipping is only possible via express. However, this shipping method works reliably. Shipping to Germany usually takes 5 to 10 working days.

In order to get an overview, I would like to show you the shipping costs that you will incur when placing an order. The shipping costs are usually calculated on the one hand based on the shipping weight and on the other hand based on the volume.

    Scope calculation / shipping costs:

    L x W x H / 6,000

    30 cm x 20 cm x 20 cm / 6,000 = 2 kg

This means that even if the item weighs only 500 grams, the shipping costs would be 2 kg.

Furthermore, the shipping costs depend on the exchange rate, which causes the shipping costs to vary. At the same time, the value of the goods in the delivery influences the insurance costs, which are usually negligible.

    Shipping to Germany (Express Shipping)

    100g = €20.00

    250g = €20.00

    500g = €21.00

    1,000 g = €30.00

    1,500 g = €38.00

    2,000 g = €46.00

    3,000 g = €63.00

    4,000 g = €79.00

    5,000 g = €96.00

Shipping is possible up to 20 kg.

As soon as standard and sea freight is possible again from Indonesia, I will post this in a blog post. Even if shipping from Indonesia is now more expensive than usual, the shipping costs have an advantage. The goods will be with you within 5 to 10 working days.

If you have any questions about shipping, you can contact us with confidence at any time.

Shipping Restrictions During the Coronavirus Crisis

    by
Shipping Restrictions During the Coronavirus Crisis

Due to the restrictions on air and shipping traffic, standard shipping and sea freight will probably not be possible until mid-August. However, express shipping works without any problems.

Air traffic has been restricted in Indonesia since mid-March. This means that shipping is only possible via Express Shipping. So far the restrictions have been extended twice. The next date for further opening of Indonesia to international air traffic will be decided on August 18, 2020.

As soon as standard shipping is possible again, we will announce this in a separate article. Until then, shipping from Indonesia is only possible via express shipping.

The delivery time of the package is usually 5 to 10 working days and works without any major problems. If you have any questions, you can contact us at any time. However, there may be shorter delays because the packages are not brought directly from Jakarta to Germany, as this tracking shows!

Shipping Goods During the Coronavirus Crisis

    by
Shipping Goods During the Coronavirus Crisis

The Corona crisis also has the trade in goods fully under control. Standard shipping has been discontinued from Indonesia. Only express shipping is possible!

Shipping of standard parcels in Indonesia is handled by passenger aircraft. Indonesia has been in a shutdown for a month and has closed its airports to international flights. A gradual opening of the country is planned from June 1, 2020. However, it is still unclear when the first passenger planes will land again. The opening of air traffic is currently being postponed by 14 days and then checked again.

Express shipping is currently the only shipping method that works. Delivery can be guaranteed here. Although there may be delays as packages are collected, delivery to Germany is possible within 5 to 10 working days. The longest delivery time in recent deliveries was 12 working days.

    Express shipping prices for Germany

The prices for express shipping depend on the weight, size of the package and the exchange rate.

    < 250g approx. 21 €

    < 500g approx. 22 €

    < 1 kg approx. 31 €

    < 1.5 kg approx. 40 €

    < 2 kg approx. 49 €

    < 3 kg approx. 66 €

    < 5 kg approx. 102 €

In May 2020 I sent 14 items by express to Germany, Austria, USA and Mexico and they were all delivered with slight delays. It can therefore be assumed that shipping goods from Indonesia by express will work 100 percent during the Corona crisis.

As soon as life has returned to normal, we will of course also offer inexpensive postal shipping. However, it is currently not possible. For high-priced products such as Seiko collector’s watches, express shipping is generally recommended, as this means you have to go to the customs office and pay the applicable customs fees directly to the postman.

I am of course available at any time for questions and non-binding offers for shipping items from Indonesia!

Floor Mats for a Jeep CJ7

      by
      Fußmatte für Jeep Cj7

The buyer from Germany was looking for American-style floor mats for his Jeep and found a supplier at Bukalapak!

He turned to me and I made him an offer to purchase it and then ship it to Germany. After approving the offer and choosing the payment option via PayPal, I will issue the customer an invoice for the purchase and shipping to Germany via PayPal.

After payment was made, I ordered the item Bukalapak, which was delivered the same day via GoJek (delivery service by moped). I checked the goods and sent the customer a photo. Then it was time to pack the two floor mats for the Jeep.

Shipping takes place via postal package and should be delivered to the customer in two to four weeks. You can assume that the package will be delivered to your local customs office nearby. The customer then receives a letter and has to go there with the payment receipt from PayPal.

      Customs topic:

Unfortunately, in Germany, customs are only allowed to open the package if the recipient or a postal employee is on site (postal secrecy). In Frankfurt, where all deliveries by flight are processed through customs, people seem to be completely overwhelmed, so only express shipments are processed there. Therefore, the packages are then sent to the internal customs offices near the delivery location.

You can also order customs clearance through the post office, but my experience is that it is more likely that the item will be returned to the sender. The customs and postal employees seem to be sleeping a little again or simply want to save themselves the extra work.

You should therefore consider traveling to the internal customs office in person. The fees charged by customs should generally correspond to VAT. Please note that shipping costs are always included. If the shipping costs are €50, €9.50 import tax must also be paid plus the import tax for the value of the goods, which corresponds to the amount of VAT. In some cases, additional fees (storage and administration fees) may apply.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Payment by Bank Transfer to a German Account

      by
Payment by Bank Transfer to a German Account

We now offer payment of the amount to a German Transferwise account. This can save you more fees!

Transferwise is a new payment service provider offering low-cost transfers worldwide. You transfer the amount to a German account and Transferwise takes care of the payout to my account in Indonesia. The duration of the transfer depends on the usual bank terms in Germany. Once the money has been deposited into the German account, the transfer is transferred to my Indonesian account within a few minutes.

Another advantage is that you don’t need your own account with Transferwise with this payment method. You simply transfer the amount to a German account using IBAN and BIC number.

Advantages and disadvantages of a transfer to a PayPal payment!

PayPal, offers 100 percent buyer protection for payments made through their system. This means customers are protected. When making transfers via Transferwise you need a certain level of trust as a transfer is final. We want to give you this trust by keeping you updated on the current status of your order. You will receive copies of the order, payment and shipping confirmations either via WhatsApp or by email.

Security costs money and so paying via Transferwise can save you additional fees, which ultimately benefit the purchase price. In any case, I will do everything I can to build a relationship of trust on my part. If you have any questions, you can contact us at any time by telephone on the German number +49 (0)3581 7921528, by WhatsApp +62 87 882424150 or by email: silvio@bayi.de.

Collectible Figure: Gold Peter Studio Jozu Resin Statue

      by

The buyer from Germany was looking for the “Gold Peter Studio Jozu Resin Statue” collectible figure and found it on Facebook in Indonesia!

By searching “Shipping from Indonesia” on Google, he came across our article,

      https://www.bayi.de/2015/05/10/versand-von-briefen-und-paketen-aus-indonesien/

in our blog “Emigrating to Indonesia – bayi.de” and wrote us an email. After a short email exchange, we switched to WhatsApp and continued our conversation there.

      The following problems existed!

      • Private seller without their own shop
      • Judging from the photos, the figure was real, but whether the photos were of him was still questionable
      • Seller only wanted to accept expensive express shipping

Our task was to arrange a meeting with the seller and present the figure to the buyer in Germany in a live video chat.

The invoice was sent via Paypal and paid by the buyer. Of course, we gave him the guarantee that if the purchase contract was not concluded, he would receive the invoice amount back minus our travel fees!

We made an appointment with the seller and met him at a shopping center in Jakarta. The figure was presented to us and we showed the figure to the buyer in Indonesia in a video chat. He agreed to the purchase and we gave the agreed purchase amount to the buyer.

      Affordable shipping by sea freight!

The package weighed 3.8 kilograms. The shipping costs here were…

      • Express shipping delivery time (5-10 working days) = €281
      • Postal parcel delivery time (2-4 weeks) = €143
      • Sea freight delivery time (1-2 months) = €48.38

The buyer decided on the cheaper sea freight shipping and saved over €240 in shipping costs!

Our fees that we charged the buyer were 20 percent of the total + €30 for meeting the seller in a mall in Jakarta (distance one way 46 km)

What can the buyer expect at customs?

The package by sea freight usually arrives in Hamburg or Rotterdam and is then transported overland and handed over to Deutsche Post. For shipments of goods, this usually hands over the package to internal customs, which is located near the destination of this package.

Internal customs then writes a letter saying that a package has been deposited and that you should pick it up. To do this, you need proof of payment, which you have with the paid Paypal invoice. Simply print it out and take it with you to customs. The customs officer will open the package in your presence and check the contents.

      What other costs are there?

As a rule, shipments of goods up to a value of €25 are duty-free. Only then will import tax be charged. If import tax is levied, this corresponds to the VAT rate of 7 or 19 percent.

      Attention!

The import tax is also charged on the shipping costs!!!! So the shipping costs are 100 €, an additional 19 € may be due here.

Furthermore, certain goods may be subject to import regulations. The coffee tax still exists in Germany. This is €2.19 per kilogram for coffee beans and ground coffee and €4.19 per kilogram for instant coffee. This tax is calculated pro rata. So for 200 grams you only pay €0.44.

If you’re lucky, the post office will deliver the package directly to you without customs processing. However, this is a matter of luck.

      Product Search in Indonesia

      by
      Product Search in Indonesia

In Indonesia you can find products that have not been available in Europe for a long time because they have reached their EoL (End of Life) and are no longer produced. But new devices are also often introduced as premieres in Indonesia.

In Indonesia you can still buy your recovered cell phone, even if it has been out of production for years. It actually seems that in Indonesia they store remaining stocks and put them back on sale again and again.

But you can also find new products or inexpensive versions of devices that are only intended for the Indonesian market here. From an apple peeling machine to a lemon squeezer, you can find everything on the Indonesian market.

      Where to look?

If you don’t want to do the search yourself, we offer the following as a service on a contingency basis. You send us an inquiry with the product you are looking for (name, brand) and we do the search for you. If we find the product and you decide to buy it, you only pay €5 per item. You can also commission us to carry out intensive research. Here we would locate several offers and already contact the buyer to negotiate a discount. After you have decided to purchase the product, €25.00 would be charged as a service fee.

      Prices and shipping costs

In order to start your search yourself, it is advisable to look around at large Indonesian sales platforms.

There are several of them in Indonesia! Bukalapak, Blibli, Tokopedia, Shopee, blanjabali are just a few mentioned here.

If you have found an article, please feel free to contact us. We will take care of purchasing the item and shipping it to Germany for you. As a rule, Indonesians are not willing to ship items abroad, or only offer extra expensive express shipping here. Another problem is paying for the item. PayPal is still relatively unknown in Indonesia, which is also due to the fact that PayPal does not allow payments in IDR.

With us you can pay conveniently in euros. We will make you an offer in advance, which includes the item price + shipping to Germany. The total price includes our service fees of 20% plus PayPal fees.

The invoice will then be sent to you directly via PayPal and you will therefore enjoy 100% buyer protection!

      Paying with PayPal

      by
      Paying with PayPal

We offer secure payment via PayPal, even if the seller does not accept it. This means you always have 100% buyer protection. You pay in EUR via PayPal and we pay for the goods in IDR.

Security for you as a customer is very important to us. We therefore only offer you secure payment systems. With PayPal you have 180 days buyer protection.

You will receive the invoice from us directly via PayPal and pay it within three days. We give you a price guarantee for these three days, even if the exchange rate moves against you.

Once payment has been received, we will begin processing your order within the next 24 hours. Of course, we always keep you updated with information about the current status of your order.

The item will be shipped insured using the shipping method you choose. If there are delays in processing your order, we will of course inform you promptly.

We Inspect Your Goods Before Shipping

      by
We Inspect Your Goods Before Shipping

You don’t want to be surprised when the goods arrive? If you wish, we can check it ourselves for functionality!

Nothing is annoying if the quality of the delivered goods is not right. You are welcome to commission us to take over quality management on site. We then check either randomly or all products for functionality and quality! No matter whether it is lamps, pieces of furniture, kitchen appliances, art objects or machines.

Items that pass through our warehouse are checked visually. A functional check only takes place after you have commissioned it.

Isn’t it better to complain about the goods in Indonesia before shipping?

As a rule, it is difficult to subsequently assert warranty claims in Indonesia. It is therefore advisable to check the quality of the products on site before shipping and to request improvements immediately.

We are happy to take over this quality check!

It doesn’t matter whether you just want spot checks or want to check every single product. We can provide you with a team who can be trained to meet your quality needs at short notice.

Trust is good, control is better!
